Welcome to potter&dabble, a boutique pottery wheel rental studio based in Dairy Flat, Auckland.

From our small studio, we offer premium Nidec Shimpo pottery wheels — including the Whisper-T, RK-55 and Aspire Mini — available in simple weekly blocks. Wheels can be collected from our studio or delivered and set up at your home, with everything you need to begin included.

We also offer private studio sessions in our Dairy Flat space — a quiet place for uninterrupted time with clay — whether you’re practising independently, or booking a one-on-one pottery experience for yourself.

And when the occasion calls for it, our mobile studio brings wheels, clay & tools to retirement villages, community groups and private gatherings.

Lightweight for a full-size wheel, the RK-55 works beautifully in homes where your setup isn’t permanent. Easy to move and reposition, it’s a practical option when your space needs to flex throughout the day.

I hired a pottery wheel for two weeks from Potter&Dabble. The process was simple with very good communication. Collection was easy and returning the wheel just as easy.
Having the opportunity to be able to practise at home to compliment the course I am attending one evening a week was so valuable. I gained confidence and was able to learn from my mistakes. I could fit a few hours in most days and really enjoyed being able to make a few okay pieces.
I highly recommend Potter&Dabble to anyone who has done a beginner pottery wheel throwing course. I most definitely will hire from Louise again.
