Studio sessions are private. However you are welcome to bring a friend and share the space

This is not a community studio. It’s intentionally simple, calm, and unhurried

Pottery Tools to use

During studio sessions, you’ll have access to shared tools and work surfaces.

A Giffin Grip and bat system are sometimes available to use in the studio, depending on availability. If you’re specifically hoping to use these, let us know when booking and we’ll confirm what’s available on the day.

The Frema Table top slab roller

Our studio includes access to a Frema tabletop slab roller, ideal for hand-building projects that require smooth, even slabs of clay.

It’s perfect for:
• Platters and large plates
• Structured hand-built forms
• Wall pieces
• Consistent slab work

Many studio guests use their 3-hour session to roll a series of slabs, stack them carefully (ready to take home in a container), and then complete their hand-building projects in their own time.

Keeping the Frema slab roller in the studio ensures it’s properly set up and supported — and gives you plenty of space and time to work efficiently.

$60 for a 3 hour session in the potter&dabble studio. Bookings essential. Please bring your own clay and cotton fabric squares to use with the roller.

If you do wish to rent and take home, please get in touch.

Facilities

The studio has:

  • cold running water
  • tea and coffee making facilities

Bathroom facilities are not located inside the studio, but are available nearby on the property.

The studio is also our pickup and return point for wheel rentals, so you may see wheels being moved in or out around session times. We do our best to keep the space clean, welcoming, and ready for use.

The studio is located on our lifestyle property, which means the environment can vary from day to day. You may hear farm sounds, see animals nearby, or notice activity around the property. On rare occasions, conditions in or around the property mean a studio session may need to be moved. If that happens, we’ll always let you know and work with you to find a suitable alternative.
