Aspire (Mini) Pottery Wheel

The Aspire Mini Pottery Wheel is a compact, lightweight wheel made by Nidec Shimpo — the same manufacturer behind the Whisper-T and RK-55.

It’s a great option for potters who want something portable and easy to set up at home, in a small studio, or in a pop-up space. While smaller than a full-size wheel, it still offers smooth, consistent throwing for everyday use.

  • Weight: 12 kg (easy to lift and move)
  • Throwing capacity: up to 9 kg (but great option if you just want to throw under 1kg pieces)
  • Wheel head diameter: 250 mm
  • Dimensions: 36.5 cm × 50 cm × 23 cm
  • Foot pedal control

The Aspire must be used on a sturdy table. We recommend thinking about your table height. Great option to use if you want to try throwing standing up.

All Rentals now include an adjustable potter's stool - for the times that you just want to sit.

Pricing is based on weekly blocks

Weekly rate – $75

4 weeks – $225

8 weeks – $375 

You can book the weekly rate for any number of weeks,

If you’d like to keep the wheel longer, you simply add more time - either by-the-week or in a 4 or 8 week block.

Rental Periods

A week is calculated as 7 days from your pickup time.

To avoid moving into the next week, please choose a return time that’s the same as (or earlier than) your pickup time.

NB: you must have a sturdy table or kitchen bench to pop the wheel onto.

If you’re planning to throw larger amounts of clay or prefer a full-size floor wheel, the Whisper-T or RK-55 may be a better fit.
